AddEmly
AddEmly is a new and engaging logic-based deduction game inspired by combinatorics.
Each puzzle features a Latin square board, meaning the numbers 1-N appear exactly once per row and column. There are some unknown selected squares that contribute to row and column sum totals. Puzzles can be solved using pure logic and deduction with no guesswork.
To rule a square out, right click, double click, or long press on mobile and it will be marked with a red X.
To reset the square, click again and it will return to its original unmarked state.
How to Play AddEmly
Rule out any numbers too large for the row/column.
Select any squares that must be selected.
In this case, all must squares must be selected to meet the sum total of 15.
5 must be selected because without it, the highest possible sum total is only 10.
Rule out any numbers that lead to a dead end.
2 cannot be selected in this case because that would leave a sum of 2 left, which cannot be another 2 as there are no repeats in a row and cannot be 2 ones as that would also be a repeat.
When a row/column’s sum total is fulfilled, the sum total will turn green.
Turn them all green to win!

What are the rules?
The objective of AddEmly is to figure out which squares are selected to contribute towards the sum totals located at the right/bottom. The sum totals will turn green when the selected squares in the corresponding row/column meet the correct sum.
Where should I start?
Start by looking at the smallest and largest sum totals and eliminate choices from there.
This is too easy.
You can increase the size of the grid to make it harder. Just select a large puzzle size and begin a new game of AddEmly!
The sum total is green but something is wrong!
Keep in mind a correct sum total doesn’t mean the row/column is correct as there may be multiple ways to sum to the same amount! There is only one correct solution per puzzle though.
The puzzle has no solution!

Is this an educational game?
Yes! Our objective is to create games that are not only entertaining but also intellectually stimulating and educational. AddEmly will help with not only math skills but also logic and deduction skills.
